TALLER LENTO

TALLER LENTO means "slow workshop", and that is the whole idea. Marta Vidal started it in 2019 in a ground-floor studio in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, dyeing every piece by hand in small baths so no two come out exactly alike.

The cloth is cupro, a silky fibre made from cotton waste, chosen because it drapes like water and takes dye softly. Shapes are simple and numbered rather than named, edges are often left raw, and the colours are earthy: cocoa, tobacco, clay and dust.

Each piece is made to order in small batches, so it takes a little longer to arrive. That is the point.
