ŌMI FIELD GOODS

ŌMI FIELD GOODS was founded in Tokyo in 2004 by Kenji Ōmi, a former outdoor-gear buyer who wanted shoes that age like a good field jacket. The workshop makes footwear and a few goods in vegetable-tanned leather that darkens and softens with every wear.

Shapes borrow from old work and folk footwear around the world: fringed boots, moccasin toes, simple trainers. Soles are stitched, not glued, so they can be resoled again and again.

Everything is made in small numbers by a handful of craftspeople, and each pair is meant to look better in ten years than the day it arrives.
